Cet automne sera marqué est par le retour de Black Strobe. Le groupe , mené par le producteur et chanteur Arnaud Rebotini, sort aujourd`hui son dernier Ep "Broken Phone Blues" (en écoute ci dessous), précédent l'album "Godforsaken Roads" prévu pour le 6 octobre. Black Strobe a sorti au printemps l`EP Going Back Home. Ce maxi réunit deux nouvelles compositions et la reprise du Tiger Man de Rufus Thomas. Trois titres dans lesquels le groupe marie blues, boucles synthétiques et rythmiques discoïdes, avec la voix crooner d'Arnaud Rebotini. Black Strobe imagine un univers de western moderne, mélancolique et classe, qui a déjà séduit Martin Scorsese , il a utilisé le titre Blood Shot Eyes pour la bande annonce de son film The Wolf Of Wall Street , et Dior qui a choisi la reprise de I`m A Man pour la publicité de son parfum Eau Sauvage. Un nouveau EP, Broken Phone Blues réunit deux morceaux : Broken Phone Blues, un tourbillon disco blues synthétique à la dynamique rock`n`roll, et In The Ghetto, un classique d`Elvis Presley, dont Arnaud Rebotini livre une reprise minimaliste au antipode de l'orignal. (pour les collectionneurs, ces deux titres sortiront sur un rare 45 tours vinyle). Ce nouvel EP précède l`album Godforsaken Roads qui prevue fin septembre (ce deuxième album de Black Strobe fait suite à Burn Your Own Church publié en 2006). 2014 marks the return of Black Strobe. The group led by producer and singer Arnaud Rebotini released their Going Back Home ep in the spring, with two new tracks and a cover version of Rufus Thomas` Tiger Man. All three marry blues, synth loops and disco-not-disco rhythms with the crooner vocals of Arnaud Rebotini. Black Strobe inhabit a world of modern westerns, melancholia and style, catching the attention of Martin Scorsese , who used their track Blood Shot Eyes to soundtrack the trailer for The Wolf Of Wall Street , and Dior, who took the group`s cover version of I`m A Man as the backdrop for an Eau Sauvage cologne ad campaign. A new ep Broken Phone Blues is coming in September with two tracks: Broken Phone Blues, an electronic disco-blues whirlwind with rock `n` roll leanings, and In The Ghetto, an Elvis classic that Arnaud Rebotini has stripped down and radically changed. For vinyl addicts, both tracks will feature on a limited edition 7”.
